These types of faucets consist of two handles and each of them come equipped with a valve and on board washer to control water flow and create pressure seal respectively. Just like the above one, these are also old-school faucets with which we have grown up. Many updated version of these faucets have come up in the market nowadays.

Cartridge faucets:

Compression faucets are available in two varieties, one handle and two handle. One handle model of Cartridge faucets looks just like Compression faucets but unlike them it does not consist of washers. In the place of washer, stem cartridge is used to regulate water supply. And what’s more, they moves smoothly and does not become tighter on being turned.

Disc Faucets:

Disc faucets consist of a cylinder and 2 discs which regulate water flow and temperature. Although somewhat similar to ball faucets, disc faucets are relatively modern in design and are much expensive than the other three models. However, life span of disc faucets is more than other varieties.
